SSC CGL Tier I Exam Pattern

According to the SSC CGL Exam pattern, Tier I is an online examination that consists of multiple-choice questions.

Important Points:

  • The question set will be in English/Hindi. The tier-1 exam will be online-based. There is a negative marking of 25%, Which means 0.5 marks for every wrong answer. Total Exam Duration is of 1 hour for 100 questions with 200 marks.

SSC CGL syllabus 2021

It combines graduate-level examinations in four different Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4. Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams will be in online mode. But Tier 3 is conducted in pen & paper mode, while Tier 4 is a computer skills test.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Syllabus

SSC CGL Tier-II Syllabus 2021

The SSC CGL exam pattern for Tier II comprises four separate papers:

  • Quantitative Aptitude-This paper has 200 marks in total. The duration of this paper is 2 hours.
  • English Language & Comprehension– This paper has a total pattern of 200, and the time for the form is 2 hours.
  • Statistics– This paper also has a natural mark of 200, and the duration for the condition is 2 hours.
  • General Studies– Finance & Economics– This paper also has a total effect of 200 to 120 minutes.

Important Points:

1. Basically, to know paper one and paper 2, because it is compulsory for all the posts.

2. Paper III is compulsory for candidates applying for the post of Junior Statistical Officer.

4. There are negative markings of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in paper 2 and 0.50 marks for Papers 1,3, and 4.

SSC CGL Tier III Syllabus

TIER-III of SSC CGL exam in the form of Descriptive exam that tests will be written in English/ Hindi. The examiner will be held on pen & paper mode. Students have to write an essay, letter, application, precise, etc.

The exam is out of 100 marks and the exam’s total time duration is 1 hour.

The total allotted time for PWD candidates is 80 minutes.

The Tier-III paper has to be given only by those candidates who have applied for the “Statistical Investigator Grade-II” & “Compiler.”

SSC CGL Tier-III Exam Pattern

SSC CGL Tier-IV Exam

The SSC CGL Tier-IV examination consists of skills tests required for a few specific government job posts filled through SSC CGL.

DEST (Data Entry Speed Test): At this stage, Candidates who applied for the Post of Tax Assistant. which are Income tax and central excise. Students must give a DEST. They must type the essay in English on the computer, 2000 words in 15 minutes.

CPT (Computer Proficiency Test): Basically, a Computer Proficiency Test conducted of 3 modules, namely Word Processing, Spread Sheets, and Generation of slides. Proficiency in these skills is necessary for the posts of CSS, MEA, Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer), and Inspector (Examiner).
