CDS Syllabus 2022 and Exam Pattern with PDF

CDS Syllabus: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the “Combined Defence Services” (CDS) Syllabus Examination. It is held twice a year, and recruits candidates for the Indian Military Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. The Notification is usually released in October/ November and June/ July at Officers Training Academy and Indian Naval Academy. The examination is generally performed in February and November, respectively.

 Only bachelor graduates are suitable to sit for the exam. Successful candidates are admitted into their respective Academies after an interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). To clear the examination, first, you need the complete information of the pattern, syllabus, and previous year exam analysis so that it would become easy for you to analyze the examination and prepare a strategy further.

CDS Important Instructions

  1. Write only in Black ballpoint pen, your command and subject followed by the CDS 2022 test booklet series (in bracket), subject code, and the exam roll number at the suitable space supplied on the solution sheet at the top.
  2. Encode your CDS 2022 booklet series (A, B, C, or D as the case may be), subject code, and roll number in the circles supplied for the purpose in the answer sheet.
  3. Candidates should note any omission/mistakes/discrepancy in encoding/filling of details in the CDS 2022 OMR answer sheet.
  4. However, we will render the answer sheet liable for rejection, especially concerning the Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code.
  5. If the CDS booklet series is not printed on the test booklet or the answer sheet is un-numbered, candidates should report immediately to the invigilator and replace the test booklet/answer sheet.
  6. Immediately after the commencement of CDS 2022
  7. Keep making sure that the test booklet supplied to you does not have any unprinted or torn or missing pages, items, etc.; if so, get it replaced by a complete test booklet with the same sequence and topic.
  8. Don’t write your name or anything other than the specific information items on the CDS answer sheet, test booklet or, sheet for rough work.
  9. Do not fold, damage, or put any extraneous marking over the CDS Answer Sheet. Do not write anything on the reverse of the answer sheet.
